To prepare a delicious French onion soup slow cooker, first put a large sauce pan on the stove and melt 1/4 cup of butter. When it’s completely melted, add in 2 sliced red onions and 2 sliced sweet or yellow onions. Stir onions to completely coat them with the butter, then sauté them in the pan for 20 minutes on low heat. When onions are adequately cooked, they will reduce and have a “syrupy” consistency.
